New York has long since been a breeding ground for metal and hard rock mainstays that line the ranks of some of the most original and talked about bands. No exception is Long Island’s Black Dawn. Formed in 1996, Black Dawn has crafted its skills and stage presence while drawing influences from Godsmack, White Zombie, and more recently Five Finger Death Punch.
Black Dawn’s impressive discography consists of the demo “Black Dawn” (1996), two full-length CD’s “Absence of Time” (1999) and “Age of Reason” (2004), and the EP “Until We Meet” (2014). Selected tracks from all of these releases have been included in rotation on hundreds of various college / internet radio stations and podcasts worldwide with “Until We Meet” gaining the band national and worldwide success with its powerful hooks and melodies.
In late 2017, Black Dawn signed with Pavement Entertainment to prepare for the release of their fifth studio album “On Blackened Wings”, due in 2018. Prepare your ears for their best and most progressive release to date.
